Personal Commentary on the Toronto Marlies hockey game versus the Milwaukee Admirals, held at the Ricoh Coliseum in the Exhibition Place on Sat March 22 2014
A real enjoyable experience was had by the participants, a group of patients consisting mainly of mobility challenged individuals like myself. The entire outing was very well organized and guided throughout by Ksenia Melamed of the Recreation Therapy department. In addition to us patients, we were accompanied by Lee Triplett (RPN) which provided the more vulnerable, a sense of security, knowing that there was medical supervision on hand. Also attending were several volunteers for handlers and porters as well as some family members.
The entire event was “excellent” and thoroughly enjoyed by all. A “shout-out” should go to the “Dignity Transportation Inc.” bus driver, assigned to load and hook up the passengers, “Here’s to Liban!”. “Three cheers for West Park Healthcare Centre’s Recreation Therapy”!
